The London firm of Lloyd Wise, Tregear and Co. is one of the oldest firms
of patent agents in the world. The firm was the result of a merger between two
similarly sized firms Lloyd Wise, Bouly & Haig and Tregear & Thiemann
& Bleach in 1980. Through Lloyd Wise, Bouly & Haig, it has a claim to be
the oldest firm concerned solely with patents and other intellectual property
matters anywhere in the world with a continuous unbroken history, having been
founded in the first half of the nineteenth century.

design practice in part as a consequence of the Far East link and one of the
