Patent Tips Required, the cheapest & effective ways to patent Options

Hi,

I am new to this patent stuff and I have a few questions and hoping you could help me.

1) I wish to know whether I could register my patent in any country that charges less filing fee and subsequently file the same patent at the PTC or in either in the USA or other countries later without having to pay for the search again?

2) I have submitted my patent application and wish to make some amendment, could I apply to make the changed. I registered my patent application last August and paid for the search the following month could I still make any changes to my patent drawings?

3) I understand that I have to register my patent within one year after I register the same patent in a different country. Is this one year starts from the filing date or after the patent is accepted or after the completion of the search etc?

3) Because of the cost I did not use the service of the patent agent and I am now stuck with this problem. How could I overcome this situation.
