Lightbulb has been announced to play at the 18th annual Florida Film Festival.
Matt (Dallas Roberts) a small-time inventor and owner of International Gifts, keeps coming up with clever but impractical products.
Sam, (Jeremy Renner) Matt’s longtime friend and business partner, is a born salesman. Just ask him, he’ll tell you.
Gina, (Ayelet Zurer) Matt’s wife, is a flight attendant dealing with the flying public’s bizarre behavior; passengers cutting their toenails onboard, fighting over armrest space. Gina is picking up extra trips to help sustain Matt’s struggling business.
One day, out of the blue, Matt gets the Big Idea. The one he’s been waiting on to save his business and marriage. Wild money-raising schemes to finance the American dream product ensue.
“Lightbulb” is directed by Jeff Balsmeyer whose first feature, “Danny Deckchair”, was the closing night film at the Toronto Film Festival and opened to rave reviews.
“Lightbulb” features three young rising stars: Dallas Roberts (“I Walk The Line”, “3:10 To Yuma”), Jeremy Renner (“The Assassination of Jesse James”, “The Hurt Locker”), and Ayelet Zurer (“Munich”, “Angels And Demons”).
“Lightbulb” is a serious comedy about overcoming hard times with hope and American ingenuity.
Lightbulb is playing the Florida Film Festival on Sunday, March 29: 9:30 pm at the Regal Cinemas 20 Winter Park FL and on Friday, April 3: 4:30 pm at Enzian Theater in Maitland FL.
