from requirements specification to prototype development, or to assist
at any level of the development process.
Alfa Technology specializes in solving
specific problems for its clients. The solution may require custom
mechanical components, software and/or electrical/electronic systems. We
are able to present the client with a complete solution which is
turn-key and ready to use.
In the course of development of a new
product, it may be necessary to make several prototypes. Each
prototype will probably fall into one of these three categories:
proof-of-concept, functional design, and production.
Alfa Technology produces design models
and any or all of the following classes of prototypes.
- Proof-of-Concept: A
rudimentary prototype which is the physical implementation of an
idea or concept, its purpose being to prove or to disprove the
feasibility of the proposed system.
- Functional
Design: A
functional prototype which fulfills all specifications of the final
product. Aesthetics are sacrificed for functionality.
- Production: The first of
an actual production unit. Includes all parts lists, drawings,
and specifications necessary for production of the product. In
order to produce a Production Prototype from a Functional Design
Prototype, refinements are made in aesthetics and particular
attention is paid to reducing unit cost. We design to
streamline the manufacturing process thus reducing production costs.
