There are different type of cascade combining amplifiers (CCA).
The substantial reduction in the cost-price of the amplifiers based
on the CCA technical solutions is explained by the CCA construction as
well as by the possibility of employing cheaper components.
1. Simplicity of the CCA circuit and construction, freedom from
power dividing/combining systems, minimum of high-frequency transformers
and a components requiring tuning and adjustment.
As a consequence, a low cost-price (prime cost) of the amplifier production, a high level of technology and high repairability.
2. High technical characteristics of individual CCA stages (frequency
and electrical ones), effective and regular electrical loading of all CCA
transistors.
As a consequence, the possibility to use cheaper and available transistors. 3. High efficiency of heat removing and thermal stability of CCA construction. As a consequence, high reliability of CCA, the possibility to manufacture the CCA with power up to units of kilowatts in the form of microassemblies and integrated circuits. When combining the power of individual transistors in accordance with the CCA circuit, it is possible
to eliminate fully the potentialities of appearing hot shot inside of the microassembly or integrated circuit. 4. Possibility of using high-voltage power supplies which voltages are multiples to the voltage of the collector supply of the individual transistor. As a consequence, the reduction in cost, weight and dimensions of the amplifier secondary power supply. The CCA can be build using the high power bipolar transistors. But the simpler and cheaper constructions with higher quality can be obtained when using MOSFET transistors. For information on buying, licensing or joint venture opportunity contact
